I wanted to take a closer look at how AI was being used in podcasting and for other content creation. Here’s what I found:
AI has already left its mark on the creator space, and in 2024, it is expected to be fully integrated into podcasting tools from planning to post-production. Tools like Castmagic, Opus Clips, and Swell AI are paving the way for more efficient editing and marketing. Emphasis on ethical content creation will grow, with leaders encouraging creators to view AI as a tool that enhances rather than replaces their personal brand's voice.
You can see a demo here for AutoPod and the subscription price is $30/mo for that service. They position it though that you have $100 that you would spend for a producer to do the edits. For me, I do my own edits and it takes about 40 min for a 30 min episode, so don’t think I’ll find that argument convincing. What I did like from the demo, was using AI to find the social posts and clips. Now that sounded like something that would help me.
Recently, I got a suggestion to extend my use of Chatgpt which I currently use to help create title options for episodes. The idea (shout out to Whitney) was to take my solo episode scripts and have Chatgpt find social ideas, hooks, and captions. I just did it and here’s what I got:
